The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past was one of the finest Super Nintendo Entertainment System games ever created as you can see by this A Link to the Past intro. Link was off on his first SNES adventure to save Hyrule and rescue Princess Zelda and the Triforce from the evil Wizard Gannon who broke the sacred seal of the Seven Wise Men. In this adventure, Link must travel in both the Light and the Dark World and become the hero he was destined to be.

Link is back at it again on his adventure to save Hyrule in the Ocarina of Time. In this Ocarina of Time commercial, it shows a teaser of the exciting adventure that Link is on to save Princess Zelda. Willst thou Run? Or fly? Willst thought sink? Or swim? Willist thou finish? Or die trying? And in the end willst thou soar? Or willst thou suck? Have ye what it takes?

Over the years, The Legend of Zelda gaming series has gotten better and better with more intense graphics, items, and characters. The one character that stands out the most of this time frame is Link, the hero who is always rescuing Princess Zelda. Here is an timeline that shows the Evolution of Link over his years starring as the hero in The Legend of Zelda series. Only time will tell if Link is up to another adventure to save Hyrule again.

A commercial for the original Legend of Zelda that was banned shortly before it aired. I’m not exactly sure why it was banned. At the beginning of the commerical, the young man states: “Woah, nice graphics! I’d like to get my hands on that game.” I’m unclear if that was the controversial statement of if it was the rap in general. Please keep in mind that this commerical was made in the 80′s and the FCC was much stricter on rules of what can be said in a television ad than it is today. Again, this is all speculation by me. Anyway, The Legend of Zelda was a great game!

The Legend of Zelda Cartoon was most noted for the quote, “Excuse Me Princess!” The Legnd of Zelda cartoon was featured the adventures of Link and his quest to save Princess Zelda and Hyrule from the evil Ganon. In all episodes, Ganon tries unsuccessfully to capture Princess Zelda. Link, as the hero, always come through on his promise to save Hyrule and protect Princess Zelda

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link commercial for NES. The Adventure of Link is the sequel to the original The Legend of Zelda game. Once again, Link is on a quest to save Princess Zelda, who has fallen under an evil sleeping spell. This game features it’s classic side-scroller on this Role Playing Game (RPG) adventure.

Lego Link set to do battle in Hyrule. Since its inception with “The Legend of Zelda” in 1986, The Legend of Zelda series has grown to one of the most popular games for Nintendo ever. Team up with Link as he saves Princess Zelda and rescues Hyrule once and for all…lego style!
